Kalgan River Cabernet Sauvignon

Willoughby Park Kalgan River Cabernet Sauvignon is made with estate grown grapes from the cool climate Kalgan River Vineyard at Albany in the Great Southern region.

The fruit is destemmed and crushed into static fermenters for cold soaking. During fermentation the wine is pumped over with aeration twice a day.

Once pressed it is transferred to barrel for malolactic fermentation, allowing the grape and oak tannins to soften and integrate. After 20 months of ageing the wine is fined with egg whites and bottled.

Deep crimson, Willoughby Park Kalgan River Cabernet Sauvignon is medium bodied with dense dark fruit flavours and savoury spice. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
